When I asked Nicole if she’d share her boudoir experience, her response was simple and sweet: “Sure!” Nicole’s session was such a joy, and her story is one I’m thrilled to share.
Nicole is a 36-year-old stay-at-home mom to six kids—yes, six! With such a busy life, she treasures her little moments of downtime, whether it’s crafting or diving into a good book. But like many moms, she found herself putting everyone else first and realized it was time to do something for herself.
When I asked what inspired her to book her session, Nicole’s answer struck a chord: “I realized I could wait forever to have the perfect body, but I also know I need to embrace it at every stage. I wanted to feel confident in my own skin, and this was one way to achieve that.”
It’s a sentiment so many of us can relate to—the idea that we’re always waiting for some “perfect” moment. Nicole decided to stop waiting and take the leap, even though the nerves were definitely there.
Preparing for her session, Nicole admitted she had a moment of doubt. “I even thought, ‘What am I doing?’” she told me. Like many clients, she was nervous about being in front of the camera. “I hate every picture of myself,” she said, but she was also excited to see herself through someone else’s eyes.
By the time she walked into the studio, those nerves started melting away. “Ashley made it so much fun!” Nicole said. I guided her through every pose, even demonstrating them when needed, and made sure the atmosphere felt relaxed and supportive. It’s always my goal to create a space where clients can let go of self-doubt and just enjoy the moment.
Nicole’s transformation during the session was incredible to witness. What started as nervous energy turned into genuine joy. By the end, she was beaming. “I felt empowered after my session,” she shared. Seeing her excitement as we wrapped up was a reminder of why I love doing this.
Like many clients, Nicole was nervous about seeing her photos. “I went in thinking I was going to hate seeing myself in every photo,” she admitted. But when she finally saw them, her reaction was the opposite. “Ashley captured some amazing angles that made me feel confident in my own skin.”
Her words mean the world to me because that’s the heart of boudoir—helping women see their beauty, not just through someone else’s lens but through their own eyes.
Nicole’s experience is one she encourages every woman to try. “Yes, I would recommend booking a session! The atmosphere was so comfortable, and Ashley was amazing, fun, and upbeat. That helped with the nerves for sure!”
Nicole’s story is proof that you don’t need to wait for the “perfect” moment to celebrate yourself. Confidence isn’t about having a flawless body; it’s about embracing who you are right now. If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this is it.
